María Auxiliadora Velarde joined Liceo Panamericano Centenario as Rector, bringing extensive experience in educational leadership, institutional management and the development of school culture. Committed to student wellbeing and academic excellence, she leads initiatives that strengthen a safe, ambitious and caring environment, where every student can grow and fulfil their full potential.
Georgina Villón Matute joined Liceo Panamericano Centenario in October 2017 as Campus Inspector. When the schools separated in 2029, she assumed the role of General Inspector. She is a Commercial Engineer by training and holds a master’s degree in Educational Management from the Metropolitan University of Guayaquil.
She brings 23 years of experience working with children and adolescents. Throughout her career, her role as Inspector has enabled her to oversee compliance with institutional regulations while contributing to the values-based development of students and strengthening the socio-emotional skills of children and young people.
Eddna is a teacher with 35 years of experience at Liceo Panamericano Centenario. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum Design, reflecting her deep vocation and long-standing commitment to teaching. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on helping students enjoy learning and fulfil their full potential. She strongly believes in a student-centred approach, where every learner takes an active role in reflecting, creating and contributing meaningfully to their environment.
Over the years, she has played an active role in the school’s transformation, making a significant contribution to Liceo Panamericano Centenario’s achievement of all International Baccalaureate programmes. Her commitment, dedication and educational vision have been fundamental in strengthening the school’s culture of quality and excellence.
She has guided generations of teachers and students with the conviction that transformative education is built day by day through effort, reflection and collaboration. Today, as Head of Learning, she continues to champion a culture of support and continuous improvement, encouraging teachers to innovate, share best practice and uphold the shared purpose of delivering an education that leaves a lasting impact on students’ lives.
Miss Patty is an educator with 39 years of experience dedicated to the development and guidance of young children. She began her career as a Preschool Educator and has strengthened her academic profile with a bachelor’s degree in Education, alongside two master’s degrees in Education and in Technology and Educational Innovation.
Since 2018, she has served as Director of Early Years at Liceo Panamericano Centenario, part of the International Schools Partnership network, where she leads the development of innovative pedagogical practices with commitment and vision.
Narcisa joined the Liceo Panamericano Centenario community 13 years ago, bringing extensive experience in English language teaching and student academic support. She holds a degree in Education Sciences with a specialisation in English Language and Linguistics and has dedicated her career to strengthening students’ communicative skills while fostering confidence, curiosity and critical thinking in language learning.
Martha Angélica Mora Pérez is a professional deeply committed to the holistic development of children and adolescents, with extensive experience in the educational and psychosocial fields. She is an Educational Psychologist and Vocational Counsellor from the University of Guayaquil, as well as a qualified Primary Education Teacher from the Rita Lecumberri Higher Pedagogical Institute.
For more than two decades, she has worked in both public and private educational institutions, leading guidance, prevention and intervention processes in situations involving psychosocial risk.
Her expertise includes observation, analysis and diagnosis to design and implement strategies that promote positive social relationships, peaceful conflict resolution and the prevention of psychosocial issues that may affect students’ rights and wellbeing. She also brings broad experience in organising psychoeducational workshops, managing inter-institutional partnerships, and supporting both teachers and families.
José Gabriel is a commercial professional with more than 13 years of experience across sectors including online education, FMCG and industrial energy solutions. His profile stands out for leading high-performing teams, managing strategy through KPIs, and bringing strong expertise in negotiation and account development.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Higher Technologist qualification in Marketing. He has further strengthened his profile through diplomas and courses in sales, leadership, Excel and artificial intelligence applied to administrative management, reinforcing a well-rounded approach focused on results and continuous improvement.
His professional profile is defined by proactivity, resilience and a strong customer focus, combining commercial acumen with strategic vision to drive sustainable growth.
Sulay Villamar
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Miss Sulay brings her expertise in psychopedagogy and socio-emotional support to Liceo Panamericano Centenario, where she has been part of the community for the past two years. As a member of the Department of Student Counselling (DECE) and Educational Psychologist for the Initial Level, she supports the holistic development of students while helping to foster a safe, respectful and empathetic learning environment.
As Safeguarding Lead, she coordinates actions focused on the protection and wellbeing of children, promoting an institutional culture grounded in respect, empathy and prevention. Her work helps ensure that students grow and learn in environments where they feel safe, supported and confident.
Passionate about education and human development, she is committed to helping every student, from the earliest years, build socio-emotional skills, autonomy and confidence as the foundation for meaningful learning and a fulfilling life.
