Students develop as critical and creative readers and communicators through the Middle Years Programme, using language and literature to engage actively with local and global contexts, and deepen this understanding in the Diploma Programme through the study of language and literature across a range of contexts with an international outlook.
Students strengthen their reading, writing and communication skills through the study of diverse genres including novels, poetry, theatre, essays and newspaper articles, while developing the ability to produce expository, argumentative and creative writing, analyse themes, style, literary devices and historical or social contexts, and express ideas confidently through debates and presentations.
Learners develop a strong understanding of mathematics in the Middle Years Programme, using it as a fundamental tool to interpret the world, solve problems and communicate ideas with precision. The subject strengthens logical thinking, critical reasoning and the ability to connect mathematical concepts to real-life situations.
Students develop a strong understanding of physics through constant inquiry, the responsible use of technology and an appreciation of scientific knowledge as a tool for informed decision-making. Learning in physics helps students recognise the impact of science on society, technological progress and global challenges, while understanding that physics not only explains the world, but also provides solutions to transform it.
Students develop a strong understanding of citizenship through the study of rights, duties and responsibilities, the Constitution of Ecuador, democratic principles and the structure and powers of the State.
They strengthen democratic values, civic ethics and respect for diversity while exploring citizen participation, human rights and the importance of coexistence in society.
Learners develop a strong understanding of global historical processes and their local connections by exploring causes and consequences, continuity and change, and key historical concepts such as power, conflict, identity, culture, economy, empires and globalisation.
They strengthen historical thinking through the analysis of primary and secondary sources, the comparison of interpretations and the ability to contextualise events across time and place.
Students explore a wide range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, collage, graphic design and mixed media, while developing an understanding of visual design principles such as line, shape, colour, composition, texture and space.
They strengthen their creative process through exploration, experimentation and reflection on their own work, while building artistic appreciation through the study of art history, cultural contexts and artistic heritage.
Learners develop technical skills in digital design and manufacturing through the use of emerging technologies, while applying creativity to design and production tools. They learn to solve real-world problems through prototyping and physical model making, strengthening critical thinking, iteration and innovation in the development of technology solutions.
Students strengthen their listening, reading, speaking and writing skills in French through short texts, dialogues, articles and videos, while developing the ability to create presentations, descriptions, narrations, letters and emails. They build a solid foundation in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and linguistic structures, while enhancing communicative competence through interaction, self-expression and a deeper understanding of French-speaking cultures, customs, history and geography.
Students in the Primary Years Programme develop holistically through movement, strengthening body awareness, motor coordination, creative expression and healthy habits from an early age. Through play and active learning, they learn to collaborate, communicate effectively and recognise the importance of physical and emotional wellbeing as an essential part of their growth.

In Lower Secondary and Baccalaureate, students consolidate their learning through the IB Continuum and the IB Diploma Programme, benefiting from a structured and rigorous approach that supports high academic achievement.
Progress is tracked through MAP assessments and ongoing monitoring, allowing teachers to adapt strategies and ensure meaningful growth over time. Our first IB Diploma cohort reflects this commitment, with students who are well prepared, confident and ready for the next stage of their journey.
Close guidance and regular feedback help students deepen their understanding and sustain strong academic performance.
At these stages, students develop advanced skills through the IB Approaches to Learning (ATLs) and ISP Life Competencies, with a strong focus on critical thinking, self-management and collaboration.
Through projects, debates and hands-on experiences, they strengthen their ability to analyse, communicate effectively and solve problems in real-world contexts.
This approach helps students become more independent, adaptable and confident, preparing them for the demands of future academic and professional environments.
English proficiency is strengthened through adapted Cambridge English pathways, with around 80% of students progressing between levels and achieving results above the global average.
By using English across academic contexts, projects and presentations, students develop the ability to communicate effectively and think confidently in the language.
This sustained development ensures they graduate with genuine bilingual proficiency, well prepared for international university pathways and future professional environments.
Students can access ISP International Learning Opportunities (ILOS), taking part in experiences such as Model United Nations, Changemakers and Filmmakers, where they collaborate with peers from different countries.
With more than 50% of students participating in these programmes, they develop global awareness, leadership and teamwork through real international experiences.
These opportunities broaden their perspective and prepare them to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
Through the Future Pathways programme, students receive personalised guidance from an early stage, helping them explore career options and make informed decisions about their future.
